When visiting the Drift Exhibition, I found myself in awe of the framed polaroid collection, created by Laura Bishop.
Bishop's work is a collection of candid polaroid photographs that demonstrate how she used psychogeography to interpret the theme of drift. Bishop chose polaroid to create her work because it elicits a very specific reaction from viewers of all ages. They evoke a sense of the past and the passage of time.
I found this body of work to be nostalgic despite them being taken in the present day. The presentation made me feel as though I was viewing a personal fragment of a larger story. The way this work was displayed felt refreshing and differed from the norm.
