As part of my research, I visited Manchester Art Gallery to witness their
statue collection they recently took out of storage.
The gallery dedicated 3 rooms to various artworks that had prior been in storage, with the first one containing their statue collection.
Adorned in all corners of the room, stood statues of varying heights, weights and materials. I moved through the space with a slow pace, mesmerised and excited by all that surrounded me.
Upon the wall it stated that the way in which each statue was categorised was not by specific themes of a time periods, but instead grouped how they would be in storage according to size, material and weight.
